Civil Society Coalition on Human Rights, in Manipur and the UN

Civil Society Coalition on Human Rights in Manipur and the UN (CSCHR), convened under the Centre for Education Organisation and Research’s Executive Director, Dr. Debabrata Roy Laifungbam in 2010 to work towards the realisation of all civil, cultural, economic, political and social rights in Manipur, and especially the right of indigenous peoples, and towards holding the Manipur State and Indian governments accountable to national and international human rights obligations. At the national level, CSCHR seeks to engage with relevant human rights, government, parliamentary, judicial and academic institutions as well as NGOs, indigenous peoples’ organisations and CBOs.
